After a VERY long time not posting anything due to the volunteer work my husband and were doing full-time, things are feeling like they are more ‘normal’. Back home, time to make and opportunity to wear all my lovely clothes again!
In the meantime, even before my social media and content became infrequent, I had noticed that none of the platforms I have used generate enough interest to make paying the fees worthwhile.
Etsy became too expensive, Folksy hasn’t done anything and I think Instagram gets interest, but people don’t tend to post a message to purchase anymore.
Do I need a neater, easier way for people to buy items? Maybe a shop page here? Or just start posting more content again and post to sell on Instagram? We have got a dedicated account to show what’s available @thegirllovesvintage_shop .
What would make you more comfortable?
Another option would be to offer content like the knitting patterns for paying subscribers. Mmm. Let me know what you think as a seller or a customer.
